Back to its former glory? Not quite… it is far, far better!

The hotel has been revived. Modernised. Brightened. It has always been gorgeous but now it is spectacular. Even with all of the substantial changes made, the history and charm that we have come to love remain. We even found some of the old doors with their original name plaques reused in some of the integrate details that now make Hartford House. The renovation is a true work of art. The same stylish changes have been carried through to the bedrooms. They are elegant, luxurious, and well, just fabulous.

The young chef has also tastefully retained some of the old. Dinner is a choice between six or four courses, which he comes to present to each guest with pride. This young chef’s creations may well see the restaurant one day return to the glory that Jackie Cameron once led it to. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners were simply divine.

If this is but the beginning of the changes that are in stall for Hartford House and Summerhill Stud, we cannot wait to see what the future holds. We will once again be regular visitors!”
