An unforgettable 5th Anniversary weekend

“HARTFORD HOUSE, an oasis indeed, as we arrived through the gates, the pristine lawns welcomed us, we made our way to the main house and immediately fell in love. We were showed our room and realized we were at no ordinary place. We freshened up and went to the House to have dinner, what we were about to experience was surreal, an elderly man walking from table to table with his grand daughter Hannah, greeting everyone came to us, introduced himself and his grand daughter. “Mick” he said, ”Nick “I said and we all had a little chuckle.

Just before we ate, we were welcomed by the Chef and told what we were about to have for dinner, WOW! We had a dinner fit for the Queen. The next day we had a opportunity to go on a tour of the famous Hartford house and Summerhill Stud farm. We decided to go with it as we were inquisitive to see more of this amazing place. Mick Goss, the owner took us on a unforgettable tour, chatting, laughing as if we were all old school friends.

Mr Mick gave us a South African history lesson that we never expected. Who would of thought Mooi River was such an influential place to our country. I would just like to say thank you to such an amazing humble man, your passion for your horses, your people, your country, your friends, your family and for your job…”
